World's Funniest Sports Pictures

Sport is healthy. However, it can be really amusing too. At least this is our impression after watching world's funniest sports pictures. Swimming, football, gymnastics, and many other sports seem to be also very dangerous from this point of view.

Football seems to be not only the number one sport, but also the best provider of ridiculous moments and funny faces. However, strange things can happen on the football field. We all know that football is played based on certain rules, the Laws of the Game. One of these rules restricts any physical contact between opponents. As controlling the ball is rather difficult, this rule is most of the time broken by football players. The only thing they usually keep in mind is to always shout, and, why not, make a beautiful dance improvisation.
Tennis is a popular sport, too. The players use a racquet in order to strike the ball into the opponent's part. Tennis can also be played between two teams of two players. However, singles is better than doubles, as two persons in the same court might find it hard to share the ball. We don't know who gave the rules regarding dresses and skirts for women players, but they seem to be rather disturbing for everyone watching the game.
Everyone knows that swimming is healthy. Competitive swimming gained popularity in the nineteenth century, and it has four strokes: freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke, and backstroke. Medley swimming means doing all four strokes during a race. Swimming has amazing results not only for your body, but also for your face as you don't need those annoying Yoga facial classes anymore.
It is said that under any tough and unfeeling character there is hidden a sensitive person waiting to come out. Wrestling might seem a tough, dangerous sport, but the fighters are calm, innocent and peaceful persons. This is why wrestling is more like a sensual Argentinian tango. In fact, contact sports can create interesting and hilarious images.
Catching the ball can be a tricky business that requires maximum concentration, especially if the ball is too small. First, you spot it, then you follow its trajectory, and finally ... you should strike it or catch it. Until you decide what you do, the ball might strike you in the face.
The next images speak for themselves. It is well known the fact that gymnastics means physical strength, flexibility, agility, balance, and...grace. Athletics contests seem to have prehistoric origins, yet the first major event took place at the first Olympics in 776 BC. We don't know how was the hurdle race back then, but nowadays attacking the hurdles seems not only challenging, but also very dangerous.
